CTC208 – Case Your Favourite Bundle

It’s been a while since I’ve played along with my favourite challenge, CASE-ing The Catty, but this week was a fun one that I just had to have a go at. This week the theme is favourite bundle from the Holiday Catalogue.

The bundle I have most loved in the Holiday Catalogue has been “Nothing Sweeter”. I just love the stitching on the dies, it really is so sweet.

I love this bundle so much I decided to CASE all of the examples from the catalogue and made a trio of cards for different occasions.

First up is, of course, a Christmas card. I haven’t changed much from the example as it is such a sweet and simple card. I love all three of the elements in the set though so have used the present, tree, and heart. The Poppy Parade card base has been embossed using the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, a recent acquisition from the Annual Catalogue which I can’t believe took me so long to get!!

As I’ve said before I prefer to buy “Christmas” sets that can be used for more than just Christmas cards which is why I was drawn to this bundle in the first place as I knew that little present and heart could be put to good use throughout the year. So for my next card, I CASEd the colour palette and layering of hearts from the box in the catalogue example and made this sweet card.

There are a few other favourites featured here, like the Pearlized Doily and Polka Dot Tule Ribbon. How sweet is that stitching on the heart, though??

And lastly, I went for a super simple (even more simple than the example) birthday card using the present die, paper from the Country Lane DSP (Holiday Catalogue), and a sneak peek at a new stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue that will be available next month, Amazing Life. Yay! indeed.

Making these this week has been a nice transition for me out of Christmas card mode and back to other occasions. I’ve mixed some annual catalogue favourites, some Holiday catalogue goodies, and even some newbies from the next catalogue. I’m ready for a new year and a whole new set of projects to tackle!
