Happy New Year, everyone! I am super duper excited to be able to announce that this year I have been invited to join the crew of my favourite weekly stamping challenge, CASE-ing the Catty Sunday Challenge. I have loved playing along with this challenge so to be an official part of it with such a talented group of stampers is a huge privilege.
For our first challenge for 2019 we have not one but two new catalogues to CASE from and a whole raft of new products, as the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues launched on January 3rd. If you’ve been hopping along you’ve already seen lots of gorgeous projects that are inspired by the SAB catalogue – there’s so much to get excited about.
My inspiration this week comes from the layout on p.14 that uses the Memories and More products.

Stampin’ Up! Occasions 2019 Catalogue p. 14
I use the Stampin’ Up! Big Plans planner (Annual Catalogue p.10) as both my working diary and a memory keeping tool. I really dropped the ball on the memory keeping part last year, so this year I’m determined to get back on track. I like to make a front page to go at the start of the diary for the new year, so that’s what I’ve done this week.
This layout uses several new goodies – the gorgeous Happiness Blooms Memories & More Pack (the large card here has a beautiful shiny texture to it as well), and from SAB the Grapefruit Grove Foil and the cute “I’m so glad you are a part of my story” sentiment is from the Part of My Story stamp set.
The foil sheets are my new favourite thing and have been sneaking their way onto nearly everything I’ve been making. Who can resist that beautiful shininess?? Not me, that’s for sure!
The large number framelits are retired but remain a firm favourite and a permanent fixture in my craft room. I keep saying it – just because it’s “retired” doesn’t mean you can’t use it anymore!
The foil makes another appearance on the back of the page as the centre of a little punch art camera I made from one of the M&M cards. I need to wrangle my children together to take another photo of all of them to add to this spread – this is a feat that is far harder than I imagined with having three kids.
Hop on over next to see Peta’s absolutely beautiful butterfly creation. Those butterflies are amazing, you’ll be seeing a lot of them, for sure. This hop alone has given me so many more ideas on how to use them, so make sure you check out all the crew’s projects.
And please, join in the challenge! Just upload your CASE-d creation to the facebook page via the link below.
Thanks for stopping by,
Siobhan.
