CTC Header

Welcome to your next stop on this week’s Case-ing the Catty crew blog hop and thank you for joining me for some more Sale-A-Bration loveliness.

My card this week was a super quick make, and a reminder of why I love Caseing the catty. I’ve had very little time for craft therapy the last couple of weeks and when I finally managed to have two of my children sleeping at once this week (the holy grail!) I sat down at my desk and was hit with major creative block. So I grabbed the Catty and found a layout I loved and a colour scheme I loved and combined the two. This is the easiest way I find to get something made and the creative juices flowing.

The layout I cased is on page 14 of the first SAB brochure – the top card on the right. And the colour scheme of Crumb Cake, Whisper White, and Balmy Blue is from the card below.

By essentially combining the two cards I came up with this.

This card was seriously quick to construct. A Thick Whisper White base, Gingham Gala DSP, butterflies from my favourite Butterfly Gala stamp set.

The background butterflies are stamped off Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake, and the punched butterflies are in Balmy Blue.

And of course who can resist a little stitched rectangle panel, with a sentiment from the SAB stamp set Part of My Story.

So by the time the baby woke up I had this cute card sitting on my desk, plus another couple I made for next week’s blog hop – like I said, caseing is the best way to get those creative juices flowing!

Hop along over next to Rachel to see her fabulous SAB project this week.

A very pretty card from amalgamating the two you chose. (I love the way you staged your photos too)

Love the background butterflies. This is a brilliant idea and looks fantastic Love this colour combination.
