CASE-ing the Catty #307 – Sale-A-Bration Snail Mail

It’s hard to believe, but this post is going live on Sunday, the 28th of February, which means we are two months, or 1/6th, of the way through the year already. Golly, that has happened fast! It also means we are at the end of the first of two Sale-A-Bration periods this year for Stampin’ Up! So for CASE-ing the Catty this week we are having one last CASE of the fabulousness contained in the SAB flyer.

I’ve chosen this gorgeous card on the left hand side of this image below, from page 12-13 of the January – February 2021 Sale-A-Bration flyer.

I love the embossed front, the background strip, and the layered squares for the feature panel, so these are the elements I’ve recreated in my Snail Mail cards.

How adorable are those snails in the DSP and stamp set? I had such fun colouring in a couple of these cuties to be my centrepieces on these cards.

On both cards I have used the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder on the front panel, then adhered a strip of DSP from the Snail Mail collection.

The rest of the card is built up with a cute snail (coloured with Blends) on a white square and the scalloped square from the Snail Dies. I had cut the little sentiment banners – this one is stamped in Melon Mambo on Blushing Bride. A little white twine and an adorable resin heart complete the creation.

On my second card I stuck with the same formula but just switched the colours based on the different DSP I chose for the panel. I also used the smaller of the snails from the Snailed It stamps.

A little white embossing on Melon Mabo this time, and pink twine – the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack pretty much hasn’t left my desk since it arrived. I have been using it on everything!

If there’s a SAB example that has taken your fancy, don’t forget to share your CASEd creation with us over on the CTC Sunday Challenge Facebook page.
